Saturday Morning 28 September 1745
This House met again according to Adjournment

Present as Yesterday
The following Message is sent with the Journal of Accounts by
Samuel Chamberlain Esqr
By the Upper House of Assembly 28 September 1745
Gentlemen
His Excellency has been pleased to acquaint us, that he has dis-
bursed the sum of £918..14..6 1/2 towards Building the house de-
signed for a Governor over and above what he has received of the
Money appropriated by Act of Assembly for that Purpose, and that
he has laid an Account thereof before your House as We do not
find any allowance made to him on that Account, in the Journal
and that We think it just and reasonable he should be reimbursed
We hope You will be of the same Opinion and therefore return the
Journal that an Allowance be made accordingly
As We are not satisfied why you have only allowed part of the
Secretaries Account in this and the last Session and part of the
Governors Account in this Session We hope You will rectify Your
Journal by allowing the whole thereof
And there are several allowances for the Quantities of Tobacco
mentioned in our Message of 1 of June 1744 to the late Lower House
of Assembly, which We think must now be high time to Insert in
the Journal
