The House met according to adjournment &c.
Mr Philip Hammond and Capt Addison appeared in the House
The Bill entituled An Act for encouraging the making Hemp and
fflax within this province &c. was Read the second time; and the
Question was put whether the said Bill shall pass, or not ? Carried
in the negative.

It being moved, that the officers fee Bill, and the Bill for Regula-
tion of Tobacco, Ordered to be prepared and brought in by the Com-
mittee of Laws, be joined in one Bill; the previous Question being-
determined, the Question was put whether the Officers fees and the
Regulation of Tobacco shall be both in one Bill or not ? Resolved in
the affirmative.
