Present as Yesterday
A Message from the Lower House by Messrs Sprigg and Hopper
with the Bill for dividing Prince Georges County and the Bill for
dividing Dorchester and Queen Anns Counties
By the Lower House of Assembly 26 Septr 1745
May it please Your Honours
We herewith return the two following Bills viz. a Bill Entd an
Act to divide Prince Georges County and to erect a new one by the
name of Frederick County and a Bill entd an Act to divide Dorches-
ter and Queen Anns Counties and to erect a new one out of the Upper
part thereof by the name of Prince William County and as We
cannot consistent with our Duty introduce a Precedent unknown in
the manner of passing our Laws within this Province so We cannot
agree to the Amendments proposed by your House But We are
sensible that the People greatly want and desire those Bills to take
place as Laws, We are willing to lengthen the time in them respec-
tively mentd to the 29 day of Septr 1747 and hope Your Honours will
agree with us therein

& Proceedings of the Commrs of the Paper Currency Office brings
in the following Report
At a Committee of both Houses of Assembly appointed to inspect

established by Act of Assembly
