an Act for ascertaining the Allowance of Petit Jurors attending the
Provincial Courts and to limit Costs with respect to Evidences thus

tuled an Act for laying out one Acre of Land convenient to Rock
Creek Landing in Potomack River on the Land George Gordon now
lives on and for Building a Rolling House thereon thus Endorsed
By the Lower House of Assembly 18 Sept. 1745

Read the second time the Bill entd an Act for Limitation of Offi-
cers Fees passed with the following Amendments & sent by Philip
Thomas Esqr
1st
That the whole Preamble be left Out
2dly That the Fee to the Chancellor for Dedimus Potestatem be
incerted & omit the Words Dedimus Potestatem in the Article of
Commission

3dly That A Writ of Execution on a Judgment in the Secretarys
fees be 45 instead of 41 it being an Error in the deduction in the Bill
4thly That there be added to the Examiner Generals fees the fol-
lowing Words viz in the same manner for every Tract on a Resurvey,
for the Vacancy if any be added and for the whole when reduced
into one Tract
5thly That the same Allowances as in the Secretarys Office for
services not mentioned in the Act be in the several Other Offices
6thly That after the Words, Great Seal, in third Line of 22d Page
insert the Words, or Surveyor General when such Office shall be
in the hands of the Governor The Words, And Be it Enacted when-
ever any Attachment is laid where the Sheriff doth not take the
Effects in his Custody that there he shall have no Condemnation fee
