burthened with double Fees either by the Examiner or Surveyor
but that the several surveyors shall pay the Examinor for any Ex-
traordinary Trouble they give him in Reexamining such Fees as by
this Act is Allowed to the Examiner
This Act to continue for seven years and to the End of the next
Session of Assembly that shall happen after the Expiration of the
said seven years.

The House met According to Adjournment. Mr Nicholas Golds-
borough & Mr Broome sent to Acquaint his Excellency that no Pub-
lick Business lies before this House
Mr Speaker Communicates to the House the following Message

from the Governor

Gentlemen of the Lower House of Assembly

You have heard no Doubt as well as myself of the joyful news of
the Total Defeat of the Rebels in Scotland upon the News of their
being drove out of England, I gave Orders for and encouraged what
Publick Testimonies of Loyalty I could on that Occation
But this decisive Action must fill all our Hearts with such loyal
Transports of Ioy that I doubt not to meet with your Concurrence
to make them as publick and in as handsome Manner as the Circum-
stances of our province will permit suitable to the Occasion either
upon the Credit of what we have now received or when a fuller
Account shall be brought Thereof especially as the Assembly may
not be then sitting and to do this I hope for your Advice and
Assistance T. Bladen
Which being read Ordered that the Committee of Laws prepare
and bring in an Address in Answer thereto.
A Question was then put Whether the said Committee shall have
any Instructions from the House in relation to drawing the said
Address Resolved in the Negative
