The House met according to Adjournment
The following Message, with two Copies of the Association agreed
upon by the Conferrees of both Houses, was sent to the Upper House
by Col. King, and three others, (See page 244.)
Mr Barnes, a return'd Member for St. Mary's County, Mr John
Gresham, a returned Member for Kent County, and Mr Joseph Hall,
a Member returned for Calvert County, appear in the House. Mr Key
and Mr Richard Gresham are sent with them to the Upper House,
to see them qualified: They return, and acquaint Mr Speaker they
saw them qualified in the usual Manner. The Gentlemen take their
Seats in the House.
Daniel Dulany Esqr and Col. Tasker, from the Upper House,
acquaint Mr Speaker, and the Members of this House, that the Gov-
ernor requires their Attendance in the Council Chamber, to sign the
Association.
Mr Speaker, attended by the Members, went to the Council Cham-
ber, where the Governor, and the Members of the Upper and Lower
Houses of Assembly, signed the Association.
Mr Speaker and the Members return to their House, and Mr
Speaker resumes the Chair.
The House adjourns 'til To-morrow Morning 9 of the Clock.

Tuesday Morning March 25. 1746.
The House met according to Adjournment, and the Proceedings
of Yesterday were read.
Mr Addison appears in the House.
Mr Hammond from the Committee of Laws delivers Mr Speaker
a Bill entituled An Act for raising per Hogshead on all Tobacco
to be exported, for purchasing Arms and Ammunition, for the De-
fence of this Province; which was read the first Time, and Ordered
to lie on the Table.
Col Hooper delivers Mr Speaker the following Report, which
was read, and ordered to lie on the Table, viz.

Your Committee having, in pursuance to the Order of Your Hon-
ourable House, enquired into what manner the Probat of Wills was
taken, and how they were recorded before the erecting a Commis-
sary's office within this Province, do find in the Commissary Gen-
eral's Office, in Liber Number 1 Folio 1. transcribed from Liber Z.
lodged in the Land Office, the Beginning of Proceedings relating to
Testamentary Affairs, dated 19 February 1635, the last Will and
