The humble Address of the House of Delegates.
May it please Your Excellency,
As we have already, in our Address to your Excellency, strongly
expressed our Loyalty and firm Attachment to his Majestys Person
and Government, and our Abhorrence of that detestable and un-
natural Rebellion, broke out, and now carrying on in the Heart of
his British Dominions; so to give all possible Testimony of our
Sincerity, and further to manifest our Principles, and declare our
unfeigned Affections, we are ready to unite and join in an Associa-
tion, for the Defence of our most gracious Sovereign and his august
Family; since from their Continuance upon the Throne, we can only
expect to enjoy the Blessings and Happiness of a free People.
