Liber No. 46

Col. Hooper and Maj. Hall ordered to acquaint his Excellency,
that this House hath prepared an Address to him, and desires to
know when and where he will be pleased to receive it: They return
and acquaint Mr Speaker his Excellency will be ready to receive it
in half an Hour, in the Council Chamber
Mr Courts, with six others, sent to present the Address: They
return and acquaint Mr Speaker they have presented it.
Dr Buchanan added to the Committee of Accounts.
On a further Consideration of Governor Clinton's Letter, the
Question was put, Whether this House will give money to the In-
dians on the Subject of that Letter ? Resolved in the Affirmative.

The House met according to Adjournment, and the Proceedings
of Yesterday were read.
On Motion of a Member, Leave is given to bring in a Bill for rais-
ing Money to be applied towards purchasing Arms and Ammuni-
tion, for the better Defence of the Province; and Ordered, that the
Committee of Laws prepare and bring in the same.
