Monday Morning March 17. 1745
The House met according to Adjournment, and the Proceedings
of Saturday were read.
All Members present as on Saturday, except Mr Richard Gresham
Mr Mackall, a returned Member for Calvert County, and Dr
Buchanan, a member returned for Baltimore County, appear in the
House.
Col. Hall and Mr Paca are sent with them to the Upper Housefto
see them qualified: They return and acquaint W Speaker they saw
them qualified in the usual Manner. The Gentlemen take their Seats
in the House.
Col. Plater and Col. Hammond from the Upper House, acquaint
Mr Speaker and the members of this House, that the Governor re-
quires their immediate Attendance in the Upper House
Mr Speaker, attended by the rest of the Members, went to the
Upper House, where his Excellency made the following Speech,

Mr Speaker and the Members return to their House, and Mr
Speaker resumes the Chair.
His Excellency's Speech being read, Ordered, That the Commit-
tee of Laws prepare an Address in answer thereto.
On Motion of a Member Leave is given to bring in a Bill for the
easier and better securing the Estates of Debtors absconding, and
of Persons Bankrupt, for the use of their Creditors, and equal Dis-
tribution of the same; and Ordered, that the Committee of Laws
prepare and bring in the same

The House adjourns 'til 2 of the Clock.

Post Meridiem

The House met according to Adjournment.
A Bill entituled, An Act for Limitation of Officers Fees, was read
the first Time, and ordered to lie on the Table.
Mr Hammond from the Committee of Laws delivers Mr Speaker
a Bill entituled An Act continuing an Act entituled, An Act for the
better Relief of poor Debtors; which was read the first Time, and
ordered to lie on the Table.
The House adjourns 'til To-morrow Morning 9 of the Clock.

Tuesday Morning March 18. 1745

The House met according to Adjournment, and the Proceedings
of Yesterday were read.
