A Message from the Lower House by Messrs Sheredine & Hopper
By the Lower House of Assembly 28 August 1745
May it please Your Honours
That nothing may be omitted on Our part Whereby the Ease and
Happiness of the People may be promoted and that Your honble
Board may have an Opportunity of shewing the sincerity of your
Wishes to concur in any reasonable Measures towards their Relief
by a Regulation of Officers Fees. Who propose a Conference with
Your Honours for that end and shall readily join some of Our
Members with Yours to reconcile if possible the difficulties that have
Obstructed a Bill of that sort

We do with the greatest Truth and sincerity Assure You that We
will gladly Contribute Our Endeavours to promote the Ease and
Happiness of the People of Maryland and do every thing in our
Power to attain so good and desirable an end We therefore agree
to the Conference You desire and have appointed James Hollyday
& Benjamin Young Esqrs two of the Members of this House to join
with such Members of your House as you shall think fit to nominate
for that purpose
