Saturday Morning, September 21, 1745
The House met according to Adjournment, and the Proceedings
of Yesterday were read.
Mr Joseph Hall and Maj. Sherredine appear in the House
An ingrossed Bill entituled, An Act to enable the Commissary
General to enter and record, amongst the Records of his Office, the
last will and Testament of Henry Staples, deceased for the Purposes
therein mentioned; and
An ingrossed Bill entituled, An Act for Settlement of Lands
therein mentioned, on Francis Waring, and the Heirs of his Body
lawfully begotten; were read and assented to, and sent to the Upper
House, with the Paper Bills, by Mr Joseph Hall, and Mr Bond.
The Bill entituled, An Act to direct and impower the Clerk of
Prince George's County to enter and record amongst the Records
of the said County, a Deed of Bargain and Sale from John Nevil,
William Collier, and Thomas Bond, to John Boyd, of a Tract of
Land therein mentioned was sent to the Upper House by Mr Addison
and Mr Harris.
Capt. Gordon and Mr Thomas Hammond ordered to acquaint
his Excellency, that this House hath prepared an Address to him,
and desires to know when and where he will be pleased to receive it :
They return and acquaint Mr Speaker, his Excellency will receive
it immediately in the Conference Chamber.
Mr Purnell and Mr Dennis sent to present the Address: They
return and acquaint Mr Speaker they have presented it.
The Bill entituled An Act to restrain non Residents from hunting
within this Province, and to prevent the Mischief occasioned by
setting the woods on fire, read the second Time, and will not pass.
The Report from the Committee appointed to enquire where the
Bounds of a new County, to be erected out of the upper Parts of
Dorchester and Queen Ann's Counties, may most conveniently run,
being read, the House concurs therewith.
The House adjourns 'til Monday Morning 9 of the Clock
