This House met again according to Adjournment

Present as Yesterday with the Addition of Samuel Ogle Esqr

Read the Petition of Several the Inhabitants of Cecil County
praying that a Bill may be brought in to lay out Thirty Acres of
Land for a Town on a Point called Penningtons Point upon Sassa-
fras River in Cecil County; Referred to the Consideration of the
Lower House, and sent by Michael Howard Esqr
Read the first Time the Bill for Limitation of Officers Fees and
Ordered to lye on the Table
A Message from the Lower House by Mrs Beale and Magruder
with the Bill Entituled an Act to impower the Inhabitants of Ann
Arundell and Prince Georges Counties to make the Main Branch of
the River Patuxent Navigable &c

March 21

By the Lower House of Assembly March 21st 1732
May it please Your Honours
This House agrees to the Amendments proposed by your Honours
Adding the following Provisoe to the Bill, Provided that if the
Petitioners shall not begin to Clear the said River, or Cause the same
to be begun within Six months from the End of this Session of
Assembly That this Act shall cease Determine and become Null and
Void and Provided that if the Clearing the said River shall be begun
within Six Months after the End of this Session, and shall not be

Compleated so as to Render the said River Navigable according
to the Intent of this Act within six Years after the End of the said
Six Months that then and in such Case this Act shall Cease determine
and become null and Void Any thing therein Contained to the Con-
trary notwithstanding.
