Tuesday Morning March 20th 1732.
The house met according to Adjournment &c.
Ordered on the Report of the Committee appointed to Enquire
into the Allegations of William Fells Petition that the Commis-
sioners in laying out the Town in Jones's Falls have regard not to
Include the Dwelling House. Garden and young Orchard of Edward
Fell, in the said Town.
Mr Alien from the Committee of Laws brings in a Bill Entituled
an Act for Limitation of Officer's fees. Which bill was read the first
Time; And ordered to lye on the Table.
Ordered on a Motion of a Member that a Bill be prepared to make
the Testimony of one Convicted Person legal Evidence against
another.
It being Moved by a Member that several Defective Acknowl-
edgments of Deeds have heretofore been taken in this Province.
Ordered that a Bill be Prepared to Aid those Defects.
Mr Alien from the Committee of Laws brings in a Bill Entituled
an Act for the Relief of poor Distressed Prisoners for Debt, Which
was read the first time & Ordered to lye on the Table.
Ordered that a Supplementary bill be brought in to the Act En-
tituled an Act for Erecting Benedict Leonard Town &c.
John Hall, Esqr from the Upper House Delivered to Mr Speaker
the Bill Entituled an Act to Impower the Inhabitants of Ann arundell
and Prince Georges Counties to make the main Branch of the River
Patuxent navigable &ca
