The House met according to Adjournment. The members were
Called, & all present as yesterday, the Proceedings of Yesterday
were read.
Mr Woolford & Mr Brannock two Representatives of Dorchester
County Appeared in the House this Day.
Mr Caldwell and Mr Alien two Representatives of Somerset
County appeared in the House this Day.
Mr Speaker Communicated to this House his Lordships Answer to
the Address of this House viz.
Gentlemen of the Lower House of Assembly.
I thank you for your kind Address; and nothing can be more
Agreeable than the Loyalty and Duty you Express to his Majesty,
the regard to Me, and Love of the People you Represent; Motives
that will always secure to you my Concurrence in every thing that
will Answer those Ends.
The Question was put that Previous to preparing an Officers fee
bill a Concurrence be Proposed to the Upper House. Resolved in
the Affirmative
The Question was put that a Bill to Emit Paper Currency be
brought in. Resolved in the Affirmative.
