The Lower House. 369

Address of both Houses, Occasioned, as we Suppose, by the Con-
trary Winds, which have Hindred the arrival of the Expected Ships,
Yet we hope Soon to receive a favourable Answer thereto.
We Gratefully Acknowledge the Assurance you are pleased to
give us, of Readily and Heartily Assisting us all that is in your
power, in any thing that may be of Service to the Country; which
as it is an Encouragement to us to consider, in the best Manner we
are able, what may be Advantagius; so it gives us hopes that some-
thing may be Done, for the Advantage of the People we Represent
wherein the Experience we have had of your Excellencys Sincere
Regard for the Wellfare and Prosperity of this Province leaves us no
Room to Doubt Your Concurrence and Assistance.
It Cannot be Denyed but that it is a very Great Ease to the Poore
that the Publick Levy, should be as low as possible; and as it is our
Duty, so it shall be our Endeavour to use all the Dispatch we Can in
whatever Business may Come before us, a thing as Your Excellency
