ourable the Lord Proprietary relating to the Advancement of the
Paper Currency Engrossed to be signed as your house shall direct
Signed p Order M Macnemara Cl Lo H.
A Message from the Lower house by Mrs King & Stoughton
By the Lower house of Assembly 9 April 1736
May it please your Honours
In answer to your Message of this Day by George Plater Esqr
This house doth not think proper to acquaint your Honours whether
the Amendments proposed by your house were, or were not agreed
to lest the Complyance with a Request so irregular should incline
your honours in some future time to ask for Reasons why Bills
sent down from your house with Amendments are not past there
with And as your honours did not see the Bill ascertaining the Gauge
of Tobacco hhds &c sent back to your house Engrossed we think
that you might have reasonably presumed that it was the Opinion
of this house that the same should not be past into a Law; which
being really the Case We hope your Honours will send down the
Engrossed Bills now in your house in Order that this Session may
be ended
Signed p Order M Macnemara Cl Lo H.
