bacco Hogsheads and to prevent Cropping Cuting And Defacing
Tobacco taken on board Ships & Vessels & to prevent Making
Seconds, Read the first time And Ordered to Lie on the Table.
The House Adjourns Until to Morrow Morning Nine of the
Clock.

The House Met According to Adjournment the Members Called
Over and all present as Yesterday the Proceedings of Yesterday were
Read Over.
The Bill Entituled an Act to ascertain the Gauge and Tare of To-
bacco Hogsheads &c. Read the second Time passed and Sent to the
Upper House by Mr Hemsley & Mr Tripp with the following
Message. [This message is printed at page 197.]
Sent to the Upper House by Mr Hemsley & Mr Trippe
Philip Lee Esqr from the Upper House Delivers Mr Speaker the
Bill Entituled an Act reviving & Continuing the Acts therein Men-
coned Indorsed. Read the second Time and will Pass which Bill was
read here & passed for Engrossing.

The Bill Entituled an Act to Moderate the Rigour of the Law ]
upon Convictions of Persons Committing Nusances on the High
Road &c. Read the Second Time And will not Pass.
Sent to the Upper House by Mr Magruder And Mr Stoddart
A Bill Entituled an Act to Confirm a Deed of Mortgage already
Recorded from a Certain Thomas Howell of Kent County to Edward
Beck of the same County Attorney in fact for a Certain Ca [s] per
Hood & Read the first Time and Ordered to Lie on the Table.
Benjamin Tasker Esqr from the Upper House Delivers Mr
Speaker The Bill Entituled an Act to Aid the Defect in the Certifi-
cate of Acknowledgment of a .Deed of Conveyance from William
Pile and Elizabeth his Wife To Thomas Marshall &c. Indorsed read
the second Time and with the following Clause being Added thereto
will Pass, Serving to his Most Sacred Majesty his Heirs and Suc-
cessors And all Bodies Politick and Corporate and all Others not
mentioned in this Act their several and respective Rights.
