The Petition of Leonard Decausse Read and Leave Given to
Bring in a Bill
A Bill Entituled an Act for the Preservation of Harbours within
this Province and for Repealing the Act therein Mentioned Read the
first time and Ordered to Lie on the Table.
Philip Lee Esqr from the Upper House Delivers Mr Speaker the

p. 530

Bill Entituled an Act to Adjourn the Courts of Assize &c. Indorsed
by the Upper House of Assembly 28th March 1735. Read the second
time and passed. Which Bill was Read here and passed for In-
grossing.
Mr Dulany brings in the following Address to the Governour
Viz.
To His Excellency Samuel Ogle Esqr Governour of Maryland
The Humble Address of the Lower House of Assembly

May it please Your Excellency
We return your Excellency our Most Hearty thanks for Laying
before this House the Plan which Came from England of the House
Proposed to be built for the Residence of Our Governour pur-
suant to the Act of Assembly made for that purpose (to which Plan
we have no Objection) and for the Assurances Contained in Your
Message, Never to make the least Misapplication of Any Publick
Money Intrusted to Your Care But to Lay it out with the Utmost
Integrety for the Service of the Country, and your readiness to

Lay all Accounts before this House when Desired According to

the Undoubted Rights of the Representatives of the People.
As such an Ample and full Acknowledgment of the Peoples Un-
questionable Right of Enquiring into the application of the Publick
Money, must proceed from the Sincere and just Intentions Your
Excellency has been pleased to Mention in that Message, so it Can-
not but afford the greatest Satisfaction to those who are Obliged to
Defray the Publick Charge of the Province, to be Assured that
what Money shall be raised for that end will not be Misapplied;
And we Greatefully Acknowledge that your Conduct hitherto
Leaves us no room to question the Sincerity of Your Intentions or
to Doubt your Exact performance of what you have been pleased
to promise in so Solemn A Manner Which was Read approved and
Ordered to be Ingrossed.
The Petition of the Rector Vestry and Church Wardens of King
and Queen Parish Read and Leave given to bring in a Bill Accord-
ing to the Indorsement.
Mr Dulany brings in the Address to the Governour Ingrossed.
Mr Dulany and Col Gale sent to Acquaint the Governour this House
hath prepared an Address to him and Desire to know when and
where he will Receive it, They return and Acquaint Mr Speaker the
