We presume his L^pp accepted the said mony as then raised And
therefore We hope his L^pp Cannot Esteem it a Carving for
themselves that the Navall Officers have Charged Eight p
Cent for receiving Since that is the Sallary allowed them by
Law for their Collections and We apprehend his Lpp or his
Agent here Could not be otherwise than privy to the manner
of the Collection, since 'tis directed in the body of the Law
and the mony being actually collected by the Navall Officers
before his L^pps Acceptance Signifyed We Cannot think of w^t
vService his L^pps own Officers could be in the Collecting that
mony which was but Conditionally raised or that such Charge
could be any Surprize uppon his Lpp, but if these reasons
will not Sufficiently Weigh with your Hon^rs to exempt us
from the Reimbursing My Lord the 8 p cent Sallary Af^d We
must humbly Desire th^t your Honours will Consent to have the
same ref err'd till next Sessions, being in hopes th^t the Business

Comittee of Laws delivers M^r Speaker an Engrost Bill being a
Supplementary Bill to the Act for Limitacon of Officers fees
which was read and Ord^rd to be thus endorst viz:

others relating to the eight p Cent We agree the Consideracon
thereof be referr'd to the next Session of Assembly.

Resolved that a Sufne not Exceeding 50^l Sterling be raised
out of the three pence p hh^d for maintaining a Magazine
