An Address to the Lords Propry and Guilford read in the
House & Sign'd p Mr Speaker and the rest of the members of
this House Which Address follows in these Words viz:

To the Right Honble Charles Absolute Lord and Proprietor
of the Provinces of Maryland and Avalon Lord Baron of
Baltemore and to his Lordships Noble Guardian the Rl Honble
Francies Lord Guilford.

We the Delegates of this present Generall Assembly met
to represent the People of this Province under your Lord-
ships Governmt beg leave to address your Lordship wth our
humble & hearty thanks for the Engageing Speech delivered
us at the opening this Sessions by your Lordships Lieutent
Governour and with an humble Chearfulness to congratulate
your Lordships on this happy occasion of Declareing our
Selves inseperably engaged to the Interest of our Lord &
Propry who has so Eminently distinguisht himself by the mer-
itorious Character of a Loyall Subject to our Soveraign Lord
King George & a true Protestant Governour to us under a
resolution to Live & Dye a faithfull member of the Church of
England. By this whatever Endeavours have been used by
some to aggrandize themselves by perswading others to be-
lieve their Romish Principles would infallibly make them
great in your Lordship's Esteem are become intirely fruitless,
and we cannot but think them far from being real ffriends to
yr Lordships who at the same time they pretended so to be
malitiously Imputed insincerity to yor Lordship's and gave
out that as a proper foundation whereon to raise their own
Grandieur and Keep others in awe.
We again beg leave to Congratulate your Lordships on
this happy occasion whereby all Jealousies are Effectually
removed and we become a victim to your pious resolutions.
Your Lordships haveing at heart the wellfare and Pros-
perity of the People of this Province Equall to that of your
own is a favour we cannot more Gratefully acknowledge than
by haveing your Lordships Honour and Interest and the
prosperity of your People Equally at heart by which our
Endeavours may be reasonably hoped to concenter in the
Comon Good.
