As also an Engrost Bill being a Supplementary Bill to the
act assertaining the bounds of Land within this Province, read
and Ordered to be thus Endorst viz:

June the 8th 1717.

Read and Assented to by the Lower House of Assembly and
Signed p Order

Both which Bills were sent to the upper house by Coll. Scott
& Mr Jowles.
They return and say they Delivered them.
The Question being put whether a Clause shall be Added
to the Bill for laying the Publick Levy this year empowering
the same Comittee to lay the Publick Levy next year or not,
Resolved in the negative Nemine Contradicente.
Coll Young from the Upper house Delivers Mr Speaker
the Journall of the Comittee of Accounts thus Endorst Viz:

By the Upper House of Assembly June The 8th 1717.
Read and Assented to by the Upper house of Assembly &
Signed p Order John Beard Clk Up Ho

The following Message Sent to the upper house by Major
Wilson Mr Pollard & Mr Hopkins viz.

By the Lower House of Assembly June 8th 1717.
May it please Your honrs
We find by the act made the 26th day of April 1715 that the
18d p hhd was raised to the right honble Benedict Leonard
Lord Baltemore in Lieu and Stead of the 12d p hhd raised to
the late Charles Lord Baltemore in Consideration of 'his
taking his Quit Rents and Alienation fines in Tobacco at 2d p 1,
and was to be paid to the Severall Navall Officers by the
Master of Every Ship or Vessell &ca That the Navall Officers
on receipt of the 18d p hhd were obliged to render an Account
of and pay the Same to The Publick Treasurers of this Prov-
ince to be by the Treasurers accounted for and paid to the
right Honble Benedt Leonard Lord Baltemore in Case he
should be favourably pleased to accept the same in Considera-
tion of his receiving his Quit Rents and Alienacon Fines in
Tobacco at 2d Sterling p Pound after such Acceptances
should be duly signified to this Province otherwise the said
Mony was to be applyed to the defraying the Publick Charge.
We also find by an Act past the 9th August last to Confirm
his Lpp's Acceptance of the said 18d p hhd (which his Lpp
