English and Indians within this Province only empowered
some Particular persons in some Countys (most whereof are
dead) to make decision of Controversies arising not exceeding
twenty shillings, We think it highly necessary that a Law be
made in the nature of the former but that power be thereby
given to Each respective Justice of the Peace within this
Province to hear and determine all Disputes between the
English and Indians not exceeding twenty shill: with which
We desire your Concurrence and that a Bill may be brought in

Ordered that the Comittee of Laws prepare a Supple-
mentary Bill to the Act for Limitacon of Officers ffees obliging
the Severall Officers menconed in that Act to write their Ac-
counts in a fair legible hand and the words at full Length.
On reading the Petition of the Generality of the Freehold-
ers of Cecil County for the removing the Court House of the
said County And the Severall Orders of this House relating
thereto together with the Sherriff of Cecill County his return
of the Voices of the generality of the Freeholders of the same
County Leave is given to bring in a Bill as prayed.
Ordered the Comittee of Laws prepare a Bill accordingly.
Colo Mackall from the Comittee of Laws delivers Mr
Speaker a Bill for quieting differences that may arise between
his Lpp's Subjects of this Province & the Severall Nacons of
Indians of what Places soever which was read the first Time,
and ordered a Second reading to morrow morning.
Colo Addison from the upper house delivers Mr Speaker the
following Message Viz.

Gent. His Excy having comunicated to this house the
