Yesterday's Proceedings are Read.
Ordered the Comittee of Accounts inspect the Laws and
Journalls of the Assembly and report to the House how the
Gent of his Lpp's Honble Councill were supported and main-
tain'd when the Lord Prop"7 formerly had the Government
Coll Addison from the upper House delivers Mr Speaker the
following Message Viz.

By the Upper House of Assembly May the 31th 1717

Gent. Complaint being made to this Board of a great Delay
of Justice in Somersett County Court Desire leave may be
given the Gent: of your house from that County to appear at
this Board to give this Board a true State of the Case.
Signed p Order. Jno Beard Cl uppr ho:

Ordered that Mr Samuell Hopkins Mr John Purnell and Mr
William Whittington junr go and appear at that Board who
accordingly went
The Peto of Peter Marsey and Sarah his wife praying Leave
to Bring in a Bill to repeale an Act Confirming Jno Toas his
Land to Robert Roberts Read and Ordered that notice be
given to Roberts and that he be served with a Copy of this Peto
that Roberts if he think fit may Appear next Sessions and
answer the Premisses or that the Peto will be heard ex parte
and leave given to Subpoena Evidences to next Sessions.

The house adjourns till One a Clock in the afternoon

The House meet according to Adjournmt

The house being called The Members appear as in the
forenoon
The Question being put whether that part of the Act for
Killing Woilves Crows and Squirells that allows four pounds
of Tobacco p head for Squirrells shall be repealed. Resolved
in the Negative by the Majority of Votes.
Mr Thomas Bordley on a motion made by him obtains the
Leave of this House to be admitted of Councill with George
Scott of Somersett County for and on the behalf of his Son
Day Scott a minor
The Petition of George Scott on behalf of his son Day Scott
a minor under the Age of Twenty one Years praying Leave to
bring in a Bill to Invest the Heirs of Edwd Day of an Estate
in fee Simple of a Tract of Land lying in Somersett Coty.
