which I sent to my under Sherife and Verily believe was de-
livered. So Answers Stephen Warman Sherr.
of Ann Arundell County

The following Depositions ordered to be Entred which are
as followeth Viz.

Mr Hugh Kenneday being sent for before this house, to
give an Account of wht Papists were at his house on Friday
night or Saturday morning last, upon his Oath to him ad-
ministred Declares that on ffriday night Last Mr Henry Darn-
all Senr and Mr Charles Diggs Supt at his house and on the
said Friday night he Saw Mr Benjaman Hall and Mr Clement
Hill in the Towne and on Saturday morning Mr Charles Diggs
was likewise at his House.

April the 19th 1720

The Above Depositions sworne to before His Excellency in
this House
Signed p Order John Beale Cl: Up: Ho.

Likewise Mrs Ann Hutton being sent for before this house
to give An Account of what Papists were at her house on
Friday night or Saturday Morning last upon her Oath to her
Administred Declares that Mr Henry Darnall Senr and She
believes Mr Charles Diggs was at her house on ffriday night
last, and on Saturday Morning last was at her house a Gent
that She took to be Mr Wm Diggs and on ffryday night Mr
Darnall asked her for Mr Benjamin Hall who told him that
there was a Gentleman up Staires with Esqr Brooke, upon wch
Mr Darnall said he believed that was Mr Hall.

April the 19th 1720.
Sworne to before his Excellency in this house.

His Excellency and this House Observe on the foregoing

proceedings That Although the most Eminent bf the Papists
were in Town at the time appointed Them to make good their
pretentions, yet they have not thought fitt to appear then or
at any time Since to offer any thing in Vindication of their
pretended Rights, and therefore take this their Demeanour as
a Tacit Acknowledgment that their Pretentions are Ground-
less and their Exclamations most unreasonable.
