mondson.
They return and Say they Delivered it.

Bill to make voyd the Recovery on the Lands of William
Dorrington Read the first and second times by especial Order
and will pass, which was so Endorst and Sent to the Upper
House by Mr Brannock and Mr Edmondson.

Collo Addison from the Upper House Delivers Mr Speaker
the following message Viz:

By the Upper House of Assembly April the 18th 1720

It being Represented to this house that the Deputy Com-
missarys bonds usually taken for the due Execution of their
Offices, have been taken in the name of the Commisary Gen-
erall himself and not in the name of his Majesty or his Lord-
ship whereby such persons as are Injured by the Misfeazance
of such Officers are under Difficulty's to come at those bonds
the Attorney Generall giving this house a late Instance thereof
in some bonds taken by John Contee Esqr late Commisary
Generall whose Executrix has refused to deliver such bonds
into the Commisarys Office or to Suffer them to be put in suit
without giveing her Security for her Indemnification thereon,
wherefore tis recommended that there be an Act or Clause of
an Act Declaring all Bonds formerly taken in the name of the
Commissary Generall may be Lawfully sued in his Lordships
