mondson

They return and say they Delivered it.
Col Addison from the Upper House Delivers Mr Speaker
the following Message Viz.

By his Excellency and the Upper House of Assembly
April the 15th 1720.

This House taking into Consideration your Message of the
13th Instant Relateing to the Land Office &ca are ready to
concurr with your house in such reasonable Measures as you
shall think fitt to recommend to us on that occasion but as to
the Securityes required, we are Informed by Mr Secretary
Lloyd that he has already Entred into bonds with his Ex-
cellency in the Sume of Two Thousand pounds Sterling to the
best of his Remembrance for the preservation and faithfull
discharge of it

Bill for Supplying Defects in a Conveyance of Lands from
Gibbs to Laurence and Belt ordered to be thus Endorst Viz.

By the Lower House of Assembly.
April the 15th 1 720.

May it please your Honours.

This house being well Satisfied with the justice in passing
the within Bill Especially considering the Deed therein men-
tioned herewith sent only for the better Secureing and re-
leasing to the parties in whose favour the Bill is Intended to
pass the Right of the Land therein mentioned which was be-
fore Mortgaged to their ffather without any prejudice to the
heirs of the said Edward Gibbs whom this house is Informed
is gone beyond the Seas, so that tis morally Impossible to give
him notice of Exhibiting the petition or the intent of Passing
this Bill, wherefore we pray that the Bill may pass as it now
stands
