And Sent to the Upper House by Col: Mackall and Mr
Wailes.

They return and Say they Delivered them.
Mr Lloyd from the Upper House Delivers Mr Speaker the
bill Reviving an Act Ascertaining the Gauge and Tare of
Tobacco hhds &ca thus Endorst Viz:

By the Upr House of Assembly, April the 13th 1720

Whereas His Excellency the Governour Observes to this
house that he has no Instructions Concerning his Lordship's
rents and therefore desires a provisoe may be made in the Bill
herein to be revived, with these words:

Provided That in case his Lordship's approbation of this
Act be not Signified by the Twenty ninth day of September
next that then the said Two Shillings p hogshead to be Col-
lected after the said Twenty ninth day of Septembr Shall be
paid to the Publick Treasurers of this Province To the use of
His Lordship without any Deduction if he shall afterwards
Signifie his Approbation thereof but if his Dissent be Signi-
fied thereto then That it Shall be applyed to the use of the
Publick in Such manner as the Generall Assembly Shall here-
after appoint Which with the Amendment above Proposed
will pass

Which was Read and ordered to be amended Accordingly.
Colo Ward from the Upper House delivers Mr Speaker the
petition of Thomas Bordjey and Thomas Larkin praying the
publick either to Allow them the value of the Publick Pasture
about the City of Annapolis or Suffer the Same to revert to
them as Proprietors, thus Endorst Viz:

By his Excellency the Governour and the Upper House of
Assembly

April the 13th 1720

The within Petition being read is recommended to the
Lower House for their Consideration thereof.
Signed p Order Joh. Beale Cl Up Ho.

Which was Read and ref errd till next Session of Assembly.
Bill for the relief of John Deavor read the first and Second
times by Especiall Order and will pass, which was so Endorst
and Sent to the Upper House by Majr Colegate and Capt
Dollahide.
