As also a bill to make Void a feigned recovery of the Lands
of Wm Dorrington of Dorchester County decd Which is thus
Endorst Viz.

By the Lowr house of Assembly
Aprill the 18th 1720
Read the first and Second times by Especiall Order and
will pass. Signed p Ordr M Jenifer Cl. Lo. Ho.

Thos Bordley Esqr at his request is Admitted Councill to
Speak to the Last mentioned Bill.

By the Upper House of Assembly
Aprill the 18th 1720
It being represented to this house that the Deputy Comrys
Bond Usually taken for the due Execution of their Offices
have been taken in the Name of the Commissary Genl himself
And not in the name of his Majesty or his Lordship whereby

such psons as are Injured by the Misfeazance of such Officers
are under Difficultys to Come at those Bonds the Attorny Genl
giving this house a late Instance thereof in some Bonds taken
by John Contee Esqr late Comry Generall whose Execrx has
refused to Deliver such bonds into the Comrys Office or to
Suffer them to be put in Suit without giving her Security for
her Indemnification thereon, Wherefore tis recommended that
there be an Act or Clause of an Act Declaring that All bonds
formerly taken in the name of the Comry Genl may be Lawfully
sued in his Ldship's name at the Instance of any p son Ag-
grieved in the same manner And under like Directions as the
Sherriff Bonds & Other publick bonds are Allowed to be And
that for the future all such Bonds be taken payable to his
Lordship in not less than two hundred pounds Sterl penalty as
usuall and Lodged in the Comry Genls Office for the Bennefitt
of those that shall have Cause to Sue the Same
