returning Sufficient Jurors Particulary at a Provll Court held
the tenth day of September 1717 Abell Van Burkeloo high
Sherriff of Cecill County John Stokes high Sherriff of Balte-
more County and Nathaniel W'right high Sherriff of Queen
Anns County were fined five hundred pounds of Tobacco Each
for their defect in that particular as Appears by the Records
of that Courts proceedings.
Wherefore we desire your house will take into your further
consideration our Message of Saturday last by Esqr Brooke

Coll Tilghman from the Upper House delivers Mr Speaker
the bill to prevent Cutting of Intailes Thus Endorst viz:

By the Upper House of Assembly June Ist 1719.

This house is Still of opinion that the Laws of great Britain
have so f arr provided agl Cutting off Entailes of lands as with
Justice and reason Consist and therefore this bill will not pass.

ince entituled an Act for Encouragemt of Tillage and relief oi
poor Debtors & for Supplying some defects therein read and
ordered to be thus Endorst Viz:

On reading the bill for limitation of Officers fees, his Excel-
lency is pleased to observe that my Lord Baltimore Designes to
come to this Government here, and his Excellency not having
any particular Instructions from his Lordship relating to Such
An Act which makes so Vast an Alteration in the Severall
Great offices in this Province, desires that nothing May be
