Coll: Ward from the Upper House delivers Mr Speaker the
bill to prevent the cutting of Entailes within this Province.
Thus Endorst Viz:

By the Upper house of Assembly
May the 30th 1719.

It is the Opinion of this house that the Laws of great Brit-
tain have Already made Sufficient provision for what this Act
seems to provide against.

Which was read and ordered the following Message be pre-
pared viz:
By the Lower House of Assembly
May the 30th 1719.
May it Please your Honours.
On reading your Endorsmt on the bill to prevent the cutting
of Entailes this house are of opinion that the Laws of great
Britain doe not Sufficiently provide against that evill As the
Non obstante in that bill Doth. Wherefore it is desired thai
that bill may pass.

Which was sent to the Upper House with that Bill by M
Tyler, Mr Hill Mr Codd Mr Edmondson, Mr Caldwell and Coll:
Jowles. They return and say they delivered it.
Mr James Lloyd has the leave of this House to goe home for
that there are no Justices of the Quorum in Talbot County to
call a Court which is to be on Tuesday next otherwise that
Court may fall.
Esqr Brook from the Upper House delivered Mr Speaker the
following Message Viz:

By the Upper House of Assembly
May the 30th 1719.
Gent.
His Excellency being Indisposed at the time that the Sup-
plementary bill to the Act for causing Grand & Petit Juror
and wittnesses to come to the Provincial and County Court
and ascertaining their Allowances was passed by this house
and not seeing it till Engrossed Recomended it to our further
consideration the bill as it now is not Answering his Design
in first proposing the Amendment of it for the following
reasons.
