Esqr Hall from the Upper House Acquaints Mr Speaker
That the following Engrost bills are read and assented to by
that house viz:
[An Engrost bill to Confirm part of a Lott in Anno to Robert
Johnson].
An Engrost bill to confirm lands to Wm Gray
An Engrost bill to confirm a tract of land lying in Baltemore
County in St John's Parish to the Rector of the said Parish and
his Successors for Ever.
An Engrost bill for the Encouragment of an Iron Manu-
facture within this Province.
And Delivers Mr Speaker the bill for the better Supporting
the Magistrates in the Administracon of Justice thus Endorst
viz:

By the Upper House of Assembly
May the 27th 1719

Read the first and Second times and will pass with the
amendments proposed.

And delivered the following Message viz:

By the Upper House of Assembly
May the 27th 1719.
Gent.
On a second reading the bill for the better Supporting the
Magistrates in the Administration of Justice within this
Province this house proposes the following Amendments to
be made at the Severall marks therein viz:
1. Ministeriall officers or other persons.
2. Suspending such practitioners of the law from their
practice perpetually or for a time or to punish such practi-
tioners or Ministeriall officers or other persons.
3. Not exceeding four thousand pounds of Tobacco in the
Superior Courts nor two thousand pounds of Tobacco in the
Severall County Courts within this Province on each offender
for any one offence.
With which if your house Concurrs the bill will pass.
