Resolved in the Affirmative by the Majority of Votes and
that the Jurors shall not receive any more nor the Suitors
give more than one hundred and twenty pound of Tobacco or
twelve Shillings.

Then the Question was put whether the County Jurors,
shall have more than the one hundred and twenty pounds
tobacco usually taken for their attendance or not.
Carried in the affirmative p the Majority of Votes.
Then the Question was put whether they shall be allowed
fifteen or twenty pounds of tobacco p Diem.

Resolved it be but fifteen pounds of tobacco to be paid by
the County.

Ordered the Committee of Laws prepare the bill.
On a motion made that the Estates of Persons dying in-
testate within this Province leaving no legall representatives
commonly fall into the hands of Some Creditor or Creditors
who have no Manner of right to the residue from whom it is
hardly to be got,

Resolved that a Supplementary bill be brought in to the act
for the better Administration of Justice in Testamentary
affairs to appropriate the Residue of those Estates to the use
of ffree schools.
The Question was put whether the residue of such Estates
shall be Applyed as the Twenty Shillings p poll on Negroes
and Irish Papists or be to the Sole use of the Counties where
Intestates did Reside.
Resolved it be applyed as the twenty Shillings per poll on
Negroes and Irish papists, by the Majority of Votes and
ordered the Committee of Laws prepare the bill.
Colo Young from the Upper House delivers Mr Speaker the
bill explaining the repealing law thus Endorst viz:

By the Upper House of Assembly.
May the 26th 1719.

Read the first and second times and will pass with the
following amendments which were made before the above
mentioned act

Which was read again in this house with the amendments
and past for Engrossing and Sent to the Committee of laws
to be Engrost.
The Question was put whether the Act for Killing of Squir-
rills shall be repealed or not. Carried in the negative p th<
