Then the Question was put whether that bill shall be
amended or Stand as it now is.

p. 61

Resolved it Stand as it now is by the Majority of. Votes.
The house adjourns till one a Clock in the Afternoon.

The house meet according to adjournment.
Mr Speaker haveing Communicated to this house his Ex-
cellencys letter intimating his haveing made a peace with the
Tuskarora Indians,
This house desires his Excellency would be pleased to make
them a Small present of ten pounds Current money.
And Ordered the following Message be prepared viz:

By the lower house of Assembly
May the 26th 1719.
May it please your Excy
Mr Speaker haveing Comunicated to this house your Ex-
cellencys letter intimating your Concluding peace with the
Tuskarora Indians,
This house returns your Excellency their hearty thanks for
the great care you have hitherto taken in Cultivating and pre-
serving a good friendship with the bordering Indians and
also for makeing the present peace with the Tuskaroras, and
desire your Excellency will be pleased to make them such a
Present as your Excellency shall think proper which we are of
opinion need not Exceed ten pounds Current money.

And sent to his Excellency by Mr Rousby & Colo Hyson
They return and say they delivered [it]
Ordered the following Message be prepared viz:

By the Lowr House of Assembly
