Mr Speaker the bill for the Encouraging of an Iron Manufac-
ture in this Province thus Endorst viz.

By the Upper House of Assembly
May the 2 Ist 1719.

This bill being read again with the Amendments will pass.

Which was read again in this House and past for Engrosing
and Sent to the Committee of Laws to be Engrost.

The House adjourns till one a Clock in the Afternoon

Post Meridiem. The house meet according to Adjourn-
ment.
The petition of Benjamin Howard praying leave to bring in
a Bill to Vacate a patent for Six hundred and odd acres at
Deer Creek now in the possession of Butterworth
was read and ordered to be thus Endorst viz:

By the Lower House of Assembly
May the 21st 1719.

Read and referr'd till next Sessions and Ordered that
Butterworth and Others concerned have notice of this petition
that if they think fit they may appear next Sessions to Answer
the Same and leave given to Subpeena Evidences.

The petition of John Beale of Charles County referred from
last Sessions praying leave to bring in a bill for the confirming
the patent of a tract of Land Called Durham lying in Charles
County was read and the Allegations of the petition being
found true leave is given to bring in a bill as prayed nemine
Contradicente, which was so endorst.
Mr Lowe from the Upper house delivers Mr Speaker the
petition of Robert Gray praying to be released from the Cus-
tody of the Sherriff of Kent County haveing nothing to pay
his Debts Thus Endorst viz:

By the Upr House of Assembly
May 21st 1719

The within [petition] is recommended to the Consideration
of the Lower House of Assembly.
