Resolved that this House will not receive any petitions
after ffriday next.

The House adjourns till to morrow Morning Eight a Clock.

Yesterdays proceedings are read.
Bill for Supplying defects in a Conveyance of Land from
Henry Roberts to John fford was read & Ordered to be thus
Endorst viz.

By the Lower House of Assembly May the 21st 1719.
Read again and past for Engrossing. Signed p Order
M: Jenifer Cl. Lo: Ho:

And Sent to the Committee of Laws to be Engrost.
Bill for the encouraging an Iron Manuf acturie in this Prov-
ince was read and the Question being put whether the bill
shall pass as it now is or be Amended,
Resolved it be amended by the Majority of Votes.
Whereupon the Same being Amended was read again and
will pass which was so Endorst. And sent to the upper house
by Mr Rousby Mr Lee Mr Wright and Mr Codd.
They return and say they delivered it.
Bill for Vesting and Setleing an Estate of Inheritance of fee
Simple of and in a Certain parcell or Lott of Land in the
City of Annapolis on Robert Johnson Ship Wright was read
the first time and Ordered a Second reading tomorrow.
Resolved that all Evidences Summoned to attend this House
have the Same allowances as evidences Summoned to the
provincial Court.
The Petition of Severall masters of Ships praying that
Some Method be taken to ease the Rowling tobacco

be [received] or not,
Resolved in the Affirmative by the Majority of Votes and
thereupon the same is referred to the Committee of aggriev-
ances who are to call the petitioners before them to hear their
proposalls and make their report thereon to the house.
