Yesterday's Proceedings are read.
Esqr Hall from the Upper House delivers Mr Speaker the
petition of John Deavour thus Endorst viz:
By the Upper House of Assembly May the 20th 1719.
The within Petition haveing been read and considered and
my Lords Agent acquainted therewith who Declares he has
nothing to offer against it on Account of the Lands being
Escheatable,
It is recommended to the Consideration of the Lower House
of Assembly to give relief to the Petitioner.

Which was read and leave given to bring in a bill to confirm
the lands therein mentioned to the petitioner in fee Simple pro-
vided the purchase money be Secured to be paid in proportion
to the Value of the land the petitioner holds.
Ordered that warrant issue to the Secretary to prepare a
New writt of Election to the Sherriff of Dorchester County
for the Electing a member in the Stead of Mr Peter Taylor
who by reason of his undue Election is dismissed the House.
Mr ffeddeman Sherriff of Dorchester County Appears ac-
cording to the Order of last night and makes his Submission
in the following Words viz. I return thanks to this Hon-
ourable house [for] their Lenity, acknowledge I have been
remiss in my duty and humbly begg the pardon of this house
for the Same and promise I will not do so any more and that I
