and the Joy of your People till Time shall be no more is the
ardent Prayers of
May It Please your Majesty
Your Majesty's most Dutifull &
most affectionate Subjects and Servants

Which being Approved of is Signed by his Excy and the
Severall members of this House and sent to the Lower House
to be Signed there.

The Journal of the Comittee of Accounts being read in this
house is Assented to and sent to the Lower House.
Col Mackall & Roger Laramore bring from the Lower
House the Address to his Majesty Signed by that House.
Mr James Stoddert & John Caldwell from the Lower House
and Acquaint this House that they have no Publick Business
Lying before their House.
Col Mackall & 5 Others from the Lower House with the
following Message Viz.

June 6th 1719
May It Please your Excellency
Wee desire your Excys favourable Acceptance of Two

U. H. J.

Hundred pounds Currtcy as a Gratefull Acknowledgment of
the many good Offices you have Done us.
Signed p Order M Jenifer Cl Lo Ho.

Whereupon his Excellency is Pleased to write to the
Speaker of the Lower House as follows Viz.

June 6th 1719
Mr Speaker.
I Desire you will Acquaint the. House that I have Just now
Recd their Message by Col Maxwell and five more Desiring
my Acceptance of Two hundred pounds Currency for many
good Offices I have Done the Country
I am willing to Accept of that Sume as a reimbursement of
what I have really and Truly Expended (tho the Sum I have
given farr Exceeds this now Offer red) for Supporting &
Maintaining the Laws of this pvince from the Invasion of the

Papists and their Adherents on them, And this I give under
my hand Because I am now and at all times ready to maintain
the Truth of what I say that the Honr and Safety of Maryland
