_ Mr John Parry & Mr Roger Laramore with a Bill for Re-

liefe of John Beale of Charles County & the foll, message Viz.

By the Lower House of Assembly

June 2d 1719
May It please your Honours:

We have Considered your Message with the Bill for Relief
of John Beale & Conceive the Clause to Enable him to Main-

p. 90

tain an Action for his Damages is only to Remove some
Doubts that have been Occasioned meerely by his Oppressive
& Injurious Treatment and that should he suffer in this part
meerely through his want of ability to Maintain his Right
when first Disputed, it would be so farr giving his Opponents
Advantage of their Own Wrong, as seems not agreeable to
the Justice of the Legislature nor the Equity of his Cause.
Wee therefore Unanimously Desire your Honrs for Justice
sake to Concurr with us in the Passing the Bill as Proposed

Sent to the Lower House by Col Addison who returns &
says he Delivered it.
Mr James Earle & Mr Thomas Waughop with a Supplemen-
tary Act to the Act Relating to Servts & Slaves Passed by the
Lower house.
Also an Engrost Bill for the Application of such Intes-
tates Estates as have no Legal Representatives
