The following Message is Prepared viz.

Gentl. On Reading the Message of this Day with the Act
Relating to Grand & Petit Jurrors &c. by M^r Rousby & Col
Hynson we find that your House on an Examination in the
Secy Office might have seen Instances of Sherr⁸ being fined
for not Returning Suff^t Jurrors Particularly at a pvinciall
Court held the 10^th day of Sep^t 1717 Abel Vanburkelow high
Sherr. of Cecill County John Stokes high Sherr of Baltemore
County & Nathan" Wright high Sherr of Queen Anns County
were fined 500^ll of Tob^o Each for their Defect in that Par-
ticular as Appears by the Record of that Court pceedings
wherefore we Desire your Hon^rs will take into yo^r further
Consideration our Message of Saturday Last by Esq^r Brooke

On Reading the Bill to Prevent the Cutting of Entails the
following Endorsement is made thereon

Gentl. This House is still of Opinion that the'Law of Great
Brittain having so farr pvided ag^t the Cutting of Entailled
Lands as with Justice and Reason will Consist and therefore
this bill will not Pass

The bill for Limitation of Officers Fees being read the fol-
lowing Message is prepared

By the uper House of Assembly June the I^st 1719
On reading the bill for the Limitation of Officers ffees his
Excy is Pleased to Observe that my Lord Baltemore Designs
to Come to his Government here And his Excy not having any
Particular Instruction from his Lordship relating to such an
Act which makes so Vast an Alteration in the sev^ll Great
Offices of this Province Desires that nothing may be Done
therein But that the Act as It now stands may be Revived till
the 29^th of Sept^r 1720 his L^dship then Being of Age To which
