On Reading your Endorsement on the Bill to Prevent the
Cutting of Entailes this House are of Opinion that the Laws
of Great Brittaine do not so sufftly pvide against that Evill as

the non obstante against Recoveries in that Bill Doth Where-
fore tis Desired that that Bill might Pass.

Leave no Legal Representatives And for Enforcing Proceed-

In answer to your Message by Esqr Brooke of Saturday
Last this House are of Opinion that the Act for Causing
Grand & Petit Jurors and Witnesses to come to the Provll &
County Courts &c. lays such a Penalty upon the Sherriffs to
Oblige them to Return the Best and most understanding Free-
holders in their County to Serve for Jurrors as we Dont find
One Instance where the Sherr5 have Been fined for Default
therein that the Statutes of England Sufficiently p vide against
Maintainance & Embracery Besides the Penalty in that Bill.
That only Magistrates Delegates Coroners Schoolmasters
