Cutting of Entailes this House are of Opinion that the Laws
of Great Brittaine do not so suff^tly pvide against that Evill as

fore tis Desired that that Bill might Pass.

In answer to your Message by Esq^r Brooke of Saturday
Last this House are of Opinion that the Act for Causing
Grand & Petit Jurors and Witnesses to come to the Prov^ll &
County Courts &c. lays such a Penalty upon the Sherriffs to
Oblige them to Return the Best and most understanding Free-
holders in their County to Serve for Jurrors as we Dont find
One Instance where the Sherr⁵ have Been fined for Default
therein that the Statutes of England Sufficiently p vide against
Maintainance & Embracery Besides the Penalty in that Bill.
That only Magistrates Delegates Coroners Schoolmasters
