for the Crowne Each the Sallary of One Hundred pounds p
Annum. And that some time after his Excy taking it to be
a hardship upon the Country to pay so much mony to two Re-
ceivers when one was sufP to Doe the Business, On this
observation John Dausey Esqr was Discharged & John Rousby
Esqr Continued in the former maner with the afd Sallary. But
when his Excy on further Examination found that Mr Rousby
had no Other Como as a Receiver than what was formerly
Granted to Mr Plater, his Predecessor in that office, He then
Advised that Mr Rousbys Office of Receiver should be no
Longer Continued And that hisExcy allowed of the afd Sal-
lary for some time from the Example of his Predecessors in
the Govermt as a thing in Course.

Capt Fendall & Mr George Dent bring from the Lower
House the following Engrossed Bills Viz.
A Bill for the better Supporting the Magistrates in the
Admrcon of Justice
A Bill Explaining the Repealing Law.
Both Read & Assented to by that House. And being Read
are Assented to by this House, & Col Young sent to Acqt the
Lower House thereof.
Thomas Bordley Esqr & Mr Danl Dulany being of Councill
for John Beale of Charles County on Obtaining an Act for the
said Beales Relief relating to some Lands wherein Mr John
Digges is Concerned and the said Mr Diggs lying under the
Inconveniency of not being able to Gett any pson qualified by
Law whom He thinks Capable to serve him in this Affair,
It is proposed by Thos Bordley Esqr, Mr Dullany having
shewn sufficient excuse for not serving Mr Diggs according
to an Order of this House that Mr Diggs Consult with whom
he sees Convenient & Draw his Reasons to the Bill in Writing
and file them under his Own Hand in this House, And that
Mr Beale's Answers to them may be filed in writing Likewise
Which is thought very ffair & Reasonable by this House,
