The House meet according to Adjournment

Present as before noon

The bill for the better Supporting the Magistrates in the
Execution of their Office in the Administration of Justice
within this Province being Read the second Time the follow-
ing message is Prepared Viz.

By the uper house of Assembly

May the 27th 1719
Gent.
On the second Reading the bill for the better Supporting the
Magistrates in the Admrn of Justice within this Province this
house Proposes the following Amendments to be made at the
severall Marks therein Viz.
Ist Ministerial Officers or other psons
2 Suspending such Practitioners of the Law from their
Practice Perpetually or for a time or to punish such Practi-
tioners or Ministerial Officers or other psons.

3. Not Exceeding four thousand Pounds of Tobacco in the
Superior Courts nor two Thousand Pounds of Tobacco in the
Several County Courts within this Province on Each Offender
for any One offence.
With which if your house Concurs this Bill will pass

Sent with the bill by Esqr Hall who returns & says he
Delivered it

fords Letter to him, Relateing to Mr Humphrys Inclosed in
his Excellcys to this house viz.
