Maurice Birchfield Esqr his Majesty's Surveyour Generall
Appears at this board to whom his Excellency Offers a list of
fees taken by the Naval Officers of this province On which his
Excellency desires his Opinion, Who answers he has nothing
to object against them, Provided they do not Exceed those now
Offered him Viz.

For entring or Clearing a Ship or Vessell if under
one hundred Tons each
if above One Hundred Tons Each
for a p mitt
for an Impost Bond
for a Navigation Bond
for a Cert with manifest of goods Imported
for every Oath made of goods
for Recording & Transmitting a Ship's Regr
for approveing & fileing a Certificate & Discharging

His Excellency acquaints this house that he had received
Instructions from home that there are great Complaints made
by the masters of ships of the Naval Officers and Collectors
that they Charge Extravagant fees on their entring and Clear-
ing Vessels and having Examined and Setled a Table of fees
for the Collectors of this pvince with Maurice Birchfield Esqr
his Majesty's Surveyour General lays the same before this
house Viz.

A Table of fees taken by the Several Collectors in the
Province of Maryland for foreign Vessells.
