Whereupon Thomas Bordley and John Beale Esqr under-
take to make a Compleat Colleccon of all the Laws now in
force in an entire Body and to make a perfect Index and

proper Marginall Notes throughout the whole for Fifty
Pounds.
An engrost Bill for ascertaining the Bounds of Land within
this Province was read and Ordered to be thus endorst viz:

May the 9th 1718.
Read and Assented to by the lower House of Assembly, and
Signed p Order M: Jenifer Cl: lo: ho:

& Sent to the upper House by Mr Lloyd and Mr Pollard. They
return & say they delivered it.
Colo Holland and three others from the upper House de-
livers Mr Speaker a Bill for the better Supporting the Magis-
trates in the Admrn of Justice &c thus endorst viz:

By the uppr House of Assembly May 9th 1718.

This Bill being read a Second Time will pass with the fol-
lowing Amendments at No 1: Not only here but in the Prov-
ince of Pensilvania
2 Declared himself to be Of the Church of England.
3. To prosecute the Suits of the Crown by the Means of the
said Maurice Birchfield Esqr
4. In all Cases Saving those that relate to the Crowne
Signed p Order. Jno Beard Cl: up: ho:

Which was amended Accordingly and past for Engrosing
and Sent to the Comittee of Laws to be engrost.
Colo Holland from the upper House delivers Mr Speaker
the report of the Comittee of Aggrievances relating to Mau-
rice Birchfield Esqr sent up to that House with the following
Opinion of his Excy in relacon thereto and the message
thereon viz

I am of Opinion that the proper applicacon will be to their
Lpps who will not faile to represent any grievances to his

Majesty which may be Occasioned by the Officers or others
imployed by the Crowne in this Province And that a just
Representacon be also made of this Affair to the agent of this
