our's fees therein menconed shall be one hundred pounds of
Tobacco p Diem or stand as they did by the former Act
Resolved they stand as they did by the former Act & ordered
the Bill be amended wch was done & then read wth tht amend-
ment and ordered to be thus endorst viz.

Esq Hall and Esqr Lowe from the upper house delivers Mr
Speaker the following Message viz:

By the Upper house of Assembly May the 8th 1718.

Gent. We think it very expedient that the Transactions of
this Sessions should be set in a true light before their Lpps
which We propose to be done by way of Representacon to
their Lpps from both Houses with which if your House Con-
currs We desire you'll Appoint Some of your Members to be

joined with some of our House in a Conference for the Draw-
ing thereof and that it may be transmitted to their Lpps inclosed
in a Letter to our Agent. Signed p Order.

In answer to which the following Message was prepared
viz:

May it please your Honours
We Agree in Opinion with your Honours that it is very
necessary to set the Transaccons of this Sessions in a true
Light before their Lpps and have therefore appointed Capt
Daniell Mariarte Mr James Lloyd Mr Wm Turbutt and John
Beale Esqr to join Such of the Members of your House as
Shall be Appointed in a Conference on that Occasion who are
ready to Attend and Desire your Honrs will be pleased to
appoint the Time and Place of Meeting.
