Colo Holland from the Upper House delivers Mr Speaker
the peticon of Evan Jones thus endorst viz:

By the upper house of Assembly May 7th 1718.

The further Consideration of this Petition is referred to the
lower House of Assembly We having nothing to object against
it that if that House thinks fit to bring in a Bill hereon the

Petr be obliged in a Bond of One hundred Pounds Sterling
speedily and Safely to Convey all publick Letters and Packets
to and from this Government untill the next Session of As-

The Consideracon whereof is referr'd till to morrow
Colo Young from the Upper House delivers Mr Speaker the
following Message Viz:

By the Upper House of Assembly May 7th 1718.
Gent.
On reading Your Yesterday's Message by Colo Maxwell
and two Others His Excy observes to this House he has no
Direccons from their Lpps about the Councills being joyned to
the Keeper of the great Scale for the time being, to Sit as a
Court of Judicature and have a Voice in passing Decrees or
other Sentences on rehearings or reviews And that without
their Lpps particular Instruccons therein he Cannot consent
to it, and on the Question whether that Message shall be reced
or not, this House Concurrs with limiting Accons in The
Provinciall Court and high Court of Appeals to Nineteen
Months but Cannot agree to adding the Clause therein Pro-
posed Concerning the Chancery.

Province was read & Comitted to the Comittee of Laws for
Amendmt.
