And the peticon of Thomas Cooke thus endorst viz.

The Consideracon whereof is referr'd till the Afternoon.
Esqr Brooke and three others from the Upper House De-
liver Mr Speaker the Representacdn of the reverend Clergy
wth a Copy of the Lord Bishop of London's Letter to Mr
Chrisf Wilkinson to be Comissary of the Eastern Shore & of
his Lpps Letter to the said Mr Wilkinson & a Copy of Instruc-
cons from her late Majty Queen Anne to his Excy the Govern-
our wth the following Message viz

By the uppr House of Assly
May the 2d 1718.
Gent.

We now send you a Representacon as it is laid before us
from the reverend Clergy together wth Copies of Severall
papers relating to them viz. a Copy of the Lord Bishop of
London's Commission to the Revd Mr Wilkinson to be Comis-
sary of the Eastern Shore and of his Lpps Letter to him, And
a Copy of Instruccons to his Excy from her late Majesty
Queen Anne. Whereon We desire that Some of the Members
of your House may join with Some of this House in a Con-
ference to consult in relation thereto, where the reverend
Clergy may be heard on the Said representacon if found
requisite.

Which were read and the Consideration thereof is referred
till the Afternoon. The house adjourns till one of the Clock
in the Afternoon.

Post. Meridiem. The house meets according to Adjourn-
ment.

home.
