Sent p Coll Young Esqr Hall and Col Addison who return
and say they Delivered it.
The following Address to his Excy being Prepared and
signed by this House is sent down to the Lower House to be
Signed by them.

May It Please Your Excy
The Upper and Lower Houses of Assembly being sensible
of the Vast Expence Your Excy has been put to in Defending
us in our Happy Establishmt agt the Attempts of those that
Sought to wound it Through your sides are by the Ties of
Duty to our Country & Gratitude to its Benefactor Oblidged
to pray yor Excellency favourable Acceptance of Two hun-
dred pounds sterl: as a reimbursement of such Part of what
Your Excy has Generously and Happily applyed for our
Advantage as the psent Circumstances of Affairs permitt us
We assure your Excy we shall always retain a Gratefull

Sense of the many Advantages that have accrued to this
Province under your Excys most Prudent Government and
However deficient Our Abilitys may be our Endeavours will
Never be Wanting upon all Occasions to Approve ourselves
your Excys most Obedient Humble Servants.

The Conclusion of this Sessions which hath been carryed
on so unanimously for the Protestant Interest being near at
hand Calls upon us to put you In mind Once more of our
message Concerning the 8 p Cent. We Cannot but be pressing

on this Affair as thinking it most Reasonable to Comply with
his Lordships Demands at this Time in hopes that the good
Dispositions he shall see the Houses in to Oblidge him in that
