May the 7th 1718
Gent. Mr Thomas Macnemara having been sent for by his
Excy to Appear before this House to know whether he has
any thing to offer on a lettr sent him by the Lord Guilford
and Baltemore Inclosed by their Lordships to his Excy And
Being asked by his Excy whether he had any thing to offer him
by the Command of their Lpps, sayd He had not. But that
their Lordships lett him know his Excy was to make Proposals
to him and being further asked whether he had made Appli-
cation to his Excellency since He had recd that Letter, An-
swered he had not which his Excellency says he takes to be a
further Confirmation of his Obstinacy and Contumaciousness
he then makeing no offers of his Submission on the Order oi
his Suspention in the Chancery Court Notwithstanding their
Lpps have Approved that Suspention by their Letf to him on
Reflection whereof this House take into Consideration Mr
Macnemara's Behaviour to his Excy in Perticular not only By
affronting as Govr and Chancellor which may Appear by Two
Indictments found agt him in the Provll Court of this Province
but Endeavouring to get him moved from his Government
which he had the Confidence to Own to his face in the Court
of Chancery He had done to the utmost of his Power, But
