represent how far they are Engaged in Affection as well as
duty to our Lord Propry & his noble Guardian for their De-
clared Zeal for the Present Establishmt both in Church &
State
We shall readily apply ourselves to the Considerations of
such Reasons as moved their Ldps to dissent to the Law relate-
ing to Irish Servts when your Excellency shall be pleased to
comunicate them to us And shall pay due deference to their
Ldps motives and also have a just regard to the reasons Offered
for the Altering the Law that relates to the Support of Gov-
ernment
We are Obliged in Justice to acknowledge your Excellencys
Tenderness of our Privileges & sorry to find ourselves mis-
taken in the Choice of an Officer who either forgot his duty or
wilfully Comitted a Breach of it by revealing the secretts of
this house tho we are pswaded if he has Confined himself to
Truth he can lay no Crimes to our Charge.
Your Excellency's Endeavours to promote the true Interest
of this Province have been Eminently signalized to us in so
many remarkable Instances dureing yor Excellencys Adminis-
tration that we have not the least Room to doubt of yor Excell3
good Inclinations. And on this Occasion we must beg leave
to Express our Concern that the largest Opportunities we
have had of demonstrating the Esteem we have for your

Excellency have fallen so farr short of amounting to a Com-
pliment, that we are forced to acknowledge we have failed in
doing justice to your Merit. Under which reflection the only
Consolation we can find is your Excellency's generous Ac-
ceptance of our Endeavours where Abilities are wanting.
Tho' we are limited in some other respects We are not so in
Affection which must still be Encreased by your Excellencys
so Earnest recommending to us the Consideration of the
Comon good

We most gratefully acknowledge their Ldps Justice in re-
moving those Officers that were despisers of our Laws and
Introduced themselves by Surprize & misinformation & must
likewise acknowledge the valuable Services yor Excy has been
pleased to do both our Lord Propry & this Province in having
such misinformations & the designs of the Informers so op-
ortunely detected.
We shall always endeavour to be gratefull to our bene-
factors & Christians to all, And shall be glad to find Our
Roman Catholick neighbours content with the present In-
dulgencies they enjoy And Carefull that they exceed not the
